My friends, today’s Toddcast wasn’t just another political discussion. It was a real-time civics lesson unfolding right before our eyes—one that proves, yet again, that America was never designed to be a pure democracy. We are, by design and intention, a constitutional republic. And this week at the Indiana Statehouse, that truth was on full display.

When I was invited to speak at the Turning Point Action event at the Statehouse, I expected some energy. I even expected some disagreement.

What I didn’t expect was how much my speaking at the event would impact my son. He’s 16.

He knows who Charlie Kirk is, and he knew exactly what happened to him earlier this fall. When he heard I’d be speaking at a Turning Point event, his first reaction wasn’t excitement—it was concern for safety.

Just stop and think about that.

Think about the message that sends to young Americans about what it means to speak your mind today.

Inside the rotunda, only a handful of protestors showed up, but you wouldn’t know it by the noise.

Five people can make a whole lot of racket when their entire mission is to drown out ideas rather than confront them.

They chanted “cheater,” “liar,” “fascist,” and “Nazi”—and at one point, I was hissed at. Literally hissed at. I found it both highly entertaining—and somewhat disturbing. What happened to the concept of open, substantive debate? It sure wasn’t present in the protestors Friday at the Statehouse.

But these antics highlight something deeper: the Left no longer wants to debate. They want to intimidate, silence, and shame.

They don’t want to answer questions like, “How is redistricting cheating?”

They don’t want to explain how something fully allowed by both the U.S. and Indiana constitutions somehow becomes an assault on democracy. They simply repeat slogans and hope the noise covers their lack of substance.

Indiana’s redistricting fight is not just some bureaucratic adjustment to political lines. It’s about whether we are going to allow population manipulation, illegal immigration, and cultural decay—especially in places like Marion County—to continue to dilute the voices of the rest of Indiana.

Redistricting isn’t cheating—it’s the constitutional responsibility of our legislature. What the Left fears is not unfairness, but fairness without their manipulation.

It’s about whether Republicans will finally use the lawful authority granted to them by voters, or whether they’ll back down because someone bangs a drum in their direction.

I want to be clear: redistricting is political, yes—but it is not cheating.

It is not unconstitutional.

It is not immoral.

It is a mechanism every state uses, and it exists because population changes, congressional apportionment changes, and the Constitution explicitly gives state legislatures this responsibility.

The House has already passed the new maps. Now it’s the Senate’s turn. And friends, your voice matters more than you realize. A respectful phone call or email can absolutely influence how your senator votes. I’ll include details below so you know who to contact.

This moment is bigger than Indiana.

It’s about the future of Congress next November. It’s about restoring America—not in some abstract sense, but through real, tangible action that begins here at home.

It’s eleven months from the midterms. The clock is ticking. And how we handle this moment will echo far beyond our borders.

Let’s stay engaged. Let’s stay vocal. And let’s remember—we are citizens of a constitutional republic, not spectators in a democracy gone mad.

Conservative, not bitter.
Todd

Quote of the Day

A republic, if you can keep it.

Todd Talk: Pearl Harbor, Freedom, and the Courage That Endures

My friends, yesterday marked 84 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor — a day that will live in infamy, as President Roosevelt said. Only twelve survivors remain, according to Newsmax, reminding us how quickly living memory slips away.

America in 1941 didn’t have the military might we do today. Our Pacific fleet was nearly decimated after the attack. Yet the American people came together, united in purpose and determined to defend freedom. The men who fought island by island through the Pacific, and all the people of that generation who ultimately won the war — even through the terrible weight of Hiroshima and Nagasaki — liberated millions and secured America’s future.

Their sacrifice must never be forgotten. And neither should the truth that a free nation survives only when its people are willing to stand for it.

Redistricting Momentum Depends On Us Now

We’re down to the wire. If we want to win this cold civil war we find ourselves , this is the moment to make ourselves heard.

The Left never hesitates. They pack hearings, crank up the pressure, and overwhelm the process. And the truth is … it moves the needle.

So let’s match their urgency—with facts, with clarity, and with a whole lot of Hoosier common sense.

Even if you couldn’t join us Friday, you can still have a major impact by reaching out to the senators who are most open to persuasion. These are the lawmakers who especially need to hear from voters this week:

Sen. Dan Dernulc – 317-232-9414 – [email protected]
Sen. Rick Niemeyer – 317-232-9489 – [email protected]
Sen. Ryan Mishler – 317-232-9814 – [email protected]
Sen. Brian Buchanan – 317-234-9441 – [email protected]
Sen. Blake Doriot – 317-232-9808 – [email protected]
Sen. Brett Clark – 317-232-9490 – [email protected]
Sen. Greg Goode – 317-233-0930 – [email protected]
Sen. Linda Rogers – 317-234-9443 – [email protected]

One calm call. One clear email. One reminder that Hoosiers expect strong maps and a commitment to President Trump’s America First vision.

Show up. Speak up. This is the moment that counts.

On Civil Discourse

When I was in school, we were taught that civil discourse and debate mattered. I still believe that.

Now, I’m not naïve—real debate gets heated. It gets emotional. It gets intense. Why? Because the issues actually matter.

But if you show up to an event just to shout down the other side, you are the problem.

If your contribution to the conversation is yelling “Cheater,” “Nazi,” or “Fascist,” you’re not serious about debate. In fact, you’re proving you don’t even know why you believe what you believe.

See, I want the other side to speak. Sure, you’re blessed to hear me every day 😉 but it’s also important to hear the nonsense coming from these insane leftists.

It’s been said that maturity means being able to entertain a thought without accepting it. They can’t do that. They’re so afraid of the truth they can’t even stand to hear it.

My friends, people try to drown out the opposition’s voice for one reason: They have no answer for it.

What Really Happened at the Statehouse Friday

Friday at the Statehouse was … something else. The energy. The noise. The protestors who really didn’t want anyone hearing a word of truth.

But in spite of all that, someone from Turning Point Action told me afterward that “The best moment was when you went up there and called them out.”

Look, I love discourse. I love debate. I welcome disagreement. That’s how free people sharpen ideas and strengthen arguments.

But the Left? They don’t debate. They drown out. It’s like they’re incapable of even listening to the words we say — and even more terrified that others might hear them too.

And honestly, that tells us everything we need to know.

Watch the video below and see exactly why their shouting didn’t — and never will — silence the truth.
