My friends, the panic you’re hearing from AOC, Bernie Sanders, and their friends at CNN isn’t about a government shutdown — it’s about a narrative shutdown.

On today’s episode, we unpack how the left is using this “crisis” to push emotional soundbites instead of real solutions.

From CNN’s disingenuous framing of the shutdown to AOC’s moral posturing and Bernie’s demand for executive action — the goal isn’t reopening government, it’s expanding it.

The panic on CNN isn’t about services — it’s about optics.
The goal isn’t to fix government, it’s to grow it.

Todd Talk: Authoritarian Warnings from the Same “Experts”.

My friends, the lovers of big government are back with their latest warning — this time, that America is on an “authoritarian trajectory,” because, of course, Donald Trump is president.

A group of 340 former intelligence and diplomatic officials, calling themselves Steady State, says the U.S. is slipping toward dictatorship and that we should all be alarmed.

They cite executive power, press criticism, and lack of trust in institutions — which, frankly, they helped create.

It does make you wonder, doesn’t it — how many of these 340 “experts” are the same 51 intelligence officials who told us the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian propaganda back in 2020?

Apparently, the only trajectory they never worry about is the one that keeps their own power intact and their hands on the levers.

True authoritarianism never sleeps, and neither does irony.

Missed the Toddcast: The Young Republicans Chat Leak

Politico claims it got hold of about 2,900 pages of leaked Telegram messages between state and national Young Republican leaders—filled, they say, with racist, antisemitic, and violent remarks. The fallout has already led to resignations and disciplinary action.

Let’s be clear: that kind of language and behavior is wrong. It doesn’t reflect conservatism or the Republican Party.

But before we take the media’s word for it, let’s remember who we’re dealing with. Outlets like Politico, The Guardian, and The Week aren’t exactly known for fairness when it comes to Republicans. We haven’t seen the full evidence ourselves—and history tells us the media rarely gives the benefit of the doubt to the Right.

Here’s the truth: all people sin. Every one of us. That’s the human condition—and it’s why we need Jesus. But there’s a big difference between a worldview that promotes evil and a worldview that has individuals who sometimes choose evil.

Context matters. Condemn wrongdoing, yes. But don’t let the Left use the bad choices of some individuals to smear everyone who loves freedom, lives out their faith, and stands for common sense.

At the end of the day, we follow truth—no matter where it leads.
