My friends,

Political violence has no place in America. Yet when the House voted on a resolution condemning the assassination of Charlie Kirk, 58 members said “No” and 38 refused to take a stand. That tells us something deeper about the divide in our culture.

As I share in today’s episode, politics is downstream from culture, and culture is downstream from worldview. When our worldview is fractured — when one side celebrates death or excuses violence — politics becomes toxic. Reasonable people should agree that assassination and political violence must be off-limits. But sadly, we can’t even agree on that.

Charlie Kirk was more than a conservative voice. He modeled civil discourse, reached people outside the conservative bubble, and founded Turning Point USA at just 18 years old. His legacy is one of courage, conviction, and persuasion — something America desperately needs right now.

In the show, I also respond to Shelby Campbell, a congressional candidate in Michigan who mocked Kirk’s death on TikTok, and the controversy around Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension. Both stories highlight the dangerous way our culture is slipping.

But there is hope. “Conservative, not bitter” means we can fight without the hate. It means we can proclaim truth boldly while still reaching hearts and minds. That’s the mission of this program, and I’m more determined than ever to do it.

“When we don’t proclaim truth, lies fill the void.”

Today’s Todd Talk

My friends, politics today is heavy.

We see political violence on the rise. We see cancel culture silencing voices. We see people sneering at tragedy, turning death itself into a punchline. And we see social media dripping with vile comments every single day.

That weight piles up, and it can feel crushing.

But when I’ve walked through the heaviness of life, two things carried me — faith in God, and a sense of humor.

Faith trusts God. Humor lightens the load. Together, they give us strength and perspective when everything around us feels dark. Heavy times will always come, but they don’t have to crush us.

When we lean on God and refuse to lose our joy, the heavy things lose their power. That’s how we remain conservative, not bitter.

Invest with conviction, not compromise.

For many conservatives, one of the toughest questions we face is this: Does the way I invest line up with what I believe? Far too often, our hard-earned dollars end up fueling companies or causes that work against our faith and values.

That’s why I like what the team at 4:8 Financial is doing. They specialize in Biblically Responsible Investing, a process that screens out companies that don’t reflect biblical principles — and helps you build a portfolio that honors your convictions.

Even better, they don’t just hand you a list and send you on your way. 4:8 Financial walks with you, tailoring strategies to your goals while making sure your money works toward something bigger than a balance sheet.

Engaging the Culture Head-On

Inviting voices into the conversation.

Recently, I reached out to Shelby Campbell, a Democrat running for Congress in Michigan’s 13th District. She cruelly mocked Charlie Kirk’s death, contrasting Jimmy Kimmel’s return to television with the reality that Charlie will never return since he was murdered.

I invited her onto the show to clear the air — and at first, she replied that she’d be glad to talk. But since then, silence.

This is the kind of engagement I believe we need more of: direct conversations, even with those who strongly oppose our worldview. You’ll see me doing more interviews and outreach like this, because the only way to confront lies is with truth.
