My friends,

The so-called “Republican shutdown” has finally met reality. For weeks the Left told you it was all the GOP’s fault—that Republicans were holding the country hostage. But when eight Senate Democrats voted with Republicans to reopen the government, that entire narrative crumbled like a stale biscuit.

If it takes Democrat defectors to end a shutdown, then it was their shutdown all along. Period. End of story.

And now the Left is furious. The tantrums have begun. Progressive pundits are demanding Chuck Schumer’s resignation, and The View turned into a therapy session for angry liberals.

Sunny Hostin claimed Republicans “run everything”—House, Senate, White House, Supreme Court. But the resolution passed the House. And the White House will sign it. The problem came in the Senate, where a simple majority wasn’t enough to pass the resolution. In other words, at least 7 or 8 Democrats had to vote for the resolution, depending upon Rand Paul’s vote.

Here’s the truth: Democrats created this mess by refusing to negotiate. They believed they had a political winner. When it fell apart, they turned on each other. Even the New York Times called them “Democratic defectors.” They are being shamed for reopening the government. Let that sink in.

If it takes eight Democrats to end a so-called Republican shutdown, then it was never the Republicans who shut it down.

And while Washington melts down, President Trump is preparing to sue the BBC for deceptively editing his January 6 remarks. They spliced his words to make it sound like he encouraged chaos when in reality he said “peacefully and patriotically march.” This lawsuit, win or lose, matters because it exposes how far major outlets will go to deceive their viewers. (More on that below.)

Then we closed today’s show with something far more important than politics. It’s Veterans Day—a day to remember that freedom doesn’t maintain itself. Freedom survives because brave men and women have stood in the gap, followed orders, risked everything, and protected the people who often take it for granted.

To every veteran listening to this program or reading this newsletter: thank you. You know better than anyone that threats to liberty are real. You’ve seen the cost. You’ve lived the discipline of service. And even if some Radical Leftists scoff at your sacrifice or treat America like a villain, I say without hesitation—you are heroes.

Our republic exists because of you. And our future depends on ordinary Americans like you and me, standing up, speaking truth, and refusing to surrender their freedom to bureaucrats or media spin.

That’s what this program is all about. Anchored in truth, not noise.

Todd Talk: Supreme Court to Decide Key Mail-In Ballot Case

My friends, the Supreme Court just agreed to take up one of the biggest election integrity cases in years — RNC v. Watson, challenging a Mississippi law allowing mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day but received later. This case could decide when mail-in ballots must be received and counted in future national elections.

Reasonable, fair-minded people across the political spectrum want elections we can trust. Unfortunately, some people don’t. They are fine with confusion and chaos if it helps their side win.

But that trust starts with clear, consistent rules — not creative interpretations of state law after the votes are cast. The Constitution gives legislatures the job of setting election procedures — not governors, not secretaries of state, not judges.

When we follow the law, not political winds, freedom stays free.

When the Media Rewrites Reality

Did you hear about the BBC’s sketchy editing job? It’s more than media bias — it’s manipulation. And yes, it’s worth pointing out.

In October 2024, the BBC’s flagship documentary series Panorama aired an episode titled “Trump: A Second Chance?” just a week before the U.S. presidential election.

What went wrong? Two separate parts of Trump’s January 6, 2021 speech — about 54 minutes apart — were spliced together to make it sound like he said:

“We’re going to walk down to the Capitol … and we fight. We fight like hell …”

In reality, here’s what actually happened:

First, he said, “We’re going to walk down to the Capitol and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women.” Nearly an hour later, he said, “We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”

Those are two different moments. Two different tones. But the BBC cut them together as if they were one. That’s not journalism. That’s propaganda.

Even BBC Chair Samir Shah admitted the edit gave “the impression of a direct call for violent action.”

So what did Trump do? He sent a formal legal letter to the BBC demanding a full retraction, apology, and damages — and threatened to sue for no less than $1 billion if they refused to make it right.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t just about Trump. It’s about truth. It’s about accountability. It’s about whether we’ll tolerate media outlets editing reality to push a narrative.

When a public-service broadcaster founded on the principle of impartiality commits a blunder like this, it’s not a “mistake.” It’s a betrayal of trust. And trust is sacred — especially when you’re talking about freedom, truth, and the future of our country.

This is what accountability looks like. Because if they can twist the truth about a president’s words, what else are they editing to fit the story they want to tell?

If you believe in truth — if you believe in freedom — then you stand up when someone tries to control the narrative. We don’t need the media to rewrite reality. We need honesty. We need transparency. We need courage.
