I wasn’t behind the mic today—Gary Varvel was. Many of you know Gary as a nationally syndicated political cartoonist, but he’s also a Christian thinker who isn’t afraid to tackle tough cultural issues through a biblical lens.

Gary brought a sobering but timely message: America’s greatest struggle isn’t in Congress or Wall Street—it’s spiritual.

“America’s crisis isn’t political or medical—it’s spiritual. The only hope is a return to Jesus Christ.”

Gary Varvel

He pointed to recent tragedies, where many perpetrators admitted to “hearing voices” or being pushed by unseen forces. The media chalks it up to mental illness, but Gary asked if there’s more going on—something Scripture describes as demonic deception.

He also raised tough questions about drugs and antidepressants. From marijuana to SSRIs, Gary highlighted evidence that these substances can open the door to despair, violence, and spiritual attack. The Bible warns against pharmakeia—sorcery connected to drugs—and Gary connected that directly to what we’re seeing today.

Then he turned to artificial intelligence. Quoting Elon Musk and connecting it to Revelation 13, Gary warned that AI could be the very tool prophecy describes to control buying, selling, and even speech.

In the end, Gary’s message was simple but urgent: politics, pills, and programs won’t save us. The only hope for America is revival and a return to Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Today’s Todd Talk

My friends, we live in a culture that thrives on grievance. Every news cycle tells us what to be angry about, who to blame, and why to be offended.

But wouldn’t it be better to live with an attitude of hope and gratitude?

When we remember all that we’ve been given, it changes everything. Gratitude doesn’t ignore problems; it gives perspective to face them without bitterness.

Gratitude makes us strong. It gives courage to face doom and gloom without despair. Even in real problems, we have much to be thankful for - and much to hope for.

Grievance tears down. Gratitude builds up. And our greatest source of gratitude is knowing God is in control. Our hope isn’t in Washington or the headlines, but in Christ alone.

Quote of the Day

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Truth in the Trenches – A TikTok Exchange

When Charlie Kirk was assassinated, thousands of people rushed online to celebrate his death. I pointed this out on TikTok—and this reaction said everything.

The Radical Left didn’t just disagree. They cheered. They mocked. They gleefully claimed Charlie was “looking up” instead of being with Christ. That’s not debate. That’s not politics. That’s pure hatred of God and anyone who dares follow Him.

And here’s the kicker: these are the same people who will trot out their fake compassion the next time they see a political opportunity. They’ll pound the table about “tolerance” and “justice” while conveniently forgetting that they literally partied over the murder of a Christian leader.

Let’s remember this moment the next time the Radical Left tries to lecture America on morality. Their mask slipped—and it wasn’t pretty.

But don’t lose heart. Their side doesn’t get the last word. Jesus does. The demons they cheer for lose—completely, eternally, and bigly.
