My friends,
On today’s show, I tackled what I believe is one of the most misunderstood — and most important — political battles happening in America right now: Indiana’s redistricting fight.
I know some Hoosiers feel this is “just politics,” or that it’s only relevant to lawmakers or consultants. But after digging through this issue, preparing to speak at the Statehouse, and reading the reactions coming in from listeners, I’m more convinced than ever that Indiana’s redistricting affects every one of us in the country.
It affects your wallet, your family, your community, and your future far more than most people realize.
Let me start here: redistricting is constitutional, appropriate, and absolutely within the authority of the Indiana legislature. We are not doing something extreme or unprecedented. Every state redraws its maps at some point, and many blue states do so aggressively and unapologetically.
Meanwhile, too many Republicans act like exercising legitimate political power is somehow improper. That mentality — pretending we must “play nice” while the Left plays to win — is exactly how conservatives lose ground nationally.
What I lay out in today’s episode is simple: If Indiana does not redraw its maps, we are unilaterally disarming politically.
Refusing to redraw maps is unilateral political disarmament.
That’s not dramatic. It’s reality.
When Indiana sends Democrats to Washington, those Democrats don’t represent Hoosier values.
They caucus with a national party that is pushing open borders, radical cultural policies, heavy-handed regulations, runaway spending, and the inflation that’s crushing working families.
They vote for leadership that in no way reflects the values of traditional Hoosier Democrats — let alone Republican or independent voters.
This isn’t about left vs. right as a philosophical debate. This is about the federal government reaching deeper and deeper into everyday life.
It’s about how much of your paycheck gets eaten by inflation.
It’s about whether Indiana communities bear the consequences of open borders.
It’s about whether Washington bureaucrats get to remake culture and impose policies that local citizens never asked for.
Redistricting helps determine how many people we send to Washington who will stand up to that federal overreach.
Some people have claimed redistricting “takes away representation.” That isn’t just incorrect — it’s not even close to true. Every Hoosier has representation.
What some people really mean is that they may not get their preferred representative. Well … that’s called an election. Losing an election doesn’t equal being disenfranchised.
Splitting Indianapolis into multiple districts is not immoral, unethical, or unprecedented. And it certainly isn’t extreme gerrymandering. It's a political decision — the same kind states make every cycle.
The question is simply whether we want Indiana to have the strongest possible voice as Washington grows more extreme and less accountable.
The Left understands the stakes. They are mobilizing. They are chanting in the Statehouse rotunda. They are working overtime to pressure lawmakers.
We cannot sit quietly at home and hope someone else fights this battle.
Tomorrow, I’ll be speaking at the Statehouse alongside others who care deeply about making sure Indiana doesn’t surrender the next decade to a political movement that dismisses our values. I hope you’ll show up if you can. And if you can’t, you can still make calls, send emails, and remind your lawmakers:
Stand firm. Pass the maps. Protect Hoosiers.
This is one of those moments where we either engage… or we accept whatever Washington becomes.
I know where I stand.
And after today’s show, I hope you do too.
Conservative, not bitter.

Todd Talk: Why Indiana Must Redraw Its Maps Now
My friends, it’s perfectly legitimate for Indiana to redistrict. It’s constitutional, it’s the job of the state legislature, and there are no sacred shapes or magical lines. Districts must simply be contiguous and roughly equal in population. No area deserves special treatment, and every state redraws its maps — some even this year.
But not only can Indiana redistrict — she should. National Democrat leadership does not represent Hoosier values, not even those of most Hoosier Democrats. Their big-government policies are crushing families, driving up costs, creating border chaos, pushing cultural nonsense like men in women’s sports, and fueling political lawfare and federal overreach.
My friends, we’re in a cold civil war, and one side must win. For the sake of our republic, it had better be our side.
Tomorrow We Fight For Indiana
If you’ve ever wondered whether showing up still matters in politics, here’s your answer: yes — and tomorrow is the proof.
When the Left wants something, they show up in force. They pressure. They organize like their worldview depends on it. And honestly? It works.
Now it’s our turn.
Tomorrow, Turning Point Action is hosting All In For Indiana at the Statehouse — the final, public push before Republican senators vote on new congressional maps on Monday. Maps that protect honest representation. Maps that respect real communities. Maps that keep Indiana moving in the right direction.
And I’ll be one of the speakers on the docket.
Friday, December 5
12 p.m.
Indiana Statehouse Rotunda
Indianapolis
If you want lawmakers to remember who they represent, this is where you need to be. When patriots fill the rotunda, senators feel it. They pay attention. They take note of who’s watching.
And if you can come, I’d love to see you there.
Register at TPAction.com/RallyIndiana — it takes just a moment, and your presence could make all the difference.
Tomorrow we fight for Indiana. Let’s show up like we mean it.
Last Chance To Make An Impact
Monday is the vote — and this really is our last shot.
When the Left wants something, they swarm. They pressure. They show up. And honestly? It works.
Now it’s our turn.
If you believe in reasonable maps, honest representation, and accountability in a constitutional republic, then today is the day to speak up. Even if you couldn’t make it to Friday’s event, you can still make a major difference right now by contacting the senators who are most likely to be persuaded.
These are the fence sitters. The ones who need to hear from real Hoosiers before Monday’s vote:
Sen. Dan Dernulc – 317-232-9414 – [email protected]
Sen. Rick Niemeyer – 317-232-9489 – [email protected]
Sen. Ryan Mishler – 317-232-9814 – [email protected]
Sen. Brian Buchanan – 317-234-9441 – [email protected]
Sen. Blake Doriot – 317-232-9808 – [email protected]
Sen. Brett Clark – 317-232-9490 – [email protected]
Sen. Greg Goode – 317-233-0930 – [email protected]
Sen. Linda Rogers – 317-234-9443 – [email protected]
A quick call. A short email. A polite reminder that Hoosiers expect them to support these new maps and stand with President Trump’s America First agenda.
This is how we win — by showing up and speaking up while we still can.
Why Indiana Should Redistrict: A Clear, Common Sense Guide
1️⃣ First: Indiana Can Redistrict – Legally & Constitutionally
Redistricting is explicitly constitutional and assigned to the state legislature.
Districts must be contiguous and population-balanced — nothing more.
No city, including Indianapolis, has a special claim to protected district boundaries.
Both parties redraw maps nationwide; Indiana is not obligated to unilaterally disarm.
Legislators are expected to draw maps responsibly and lawfully – not be prohibited from doing so.
2️⃣ Second: Here’s Why Indiana Should Redistrict
National Democrat leadership pushes policies far outside Indiana’s values – including values of many Hoosier Democrats.
Indiana Democrats who seem “moderate” still vote for radical national leadership and a radical agenda that hurts Hoosiers.
National Democrat policies on inflation, borders, and culture harm Hoosier families.
Today’s Democrat Party is not the old Hoosier Democrat Party.
Indiana must protect itself from federal overreach through lawful redistricting.
Inaction today concedes future congressional power to the Radical Left.
3️⃣ Third: Responding to the Common Objections
OBJECTION: “This takes away representation.”
ANSWER: Every Hoosier has and will continue to have representation. “Not my preferred representative” is not the same thing as having “no representative.” Pure sophistry.
OBJECTION: “Redistricting is cheating.”
ANSWER: Hogwash. Redistricting is absolutely constitutional and is used aggressively in blue states. Indiana should simply refuse to surrender to the left’s double standards. No rules are broken. The process is transparent. People can vote for Democrats in any district.
OBJECTION: “Indianapolis deserves its own districts.”
ANSWER: Why? District boundaries are not sacred – and no city has a divine right to its own district. Just because something has been doesn’t mean it must continue to be. Silly.
OBJECTION: “Republicans are being extreme.”
ANSWER: The extremism is coming from national Democrat leadership. Protecting Hoosiers from the morally bankrupt ideology of the Radical Left is not extreme. It’s necessary and good. Democrat policies have wreaked havoc on Hoosier families and American values.
