My friends,

The redistricting fight has reached its fever pitch in Indiana. And the outcome of this fight could impact ALL Americans.

Redistricting sounds technical. Boring, even. But what’s happening right now in Indiana is anything but small or abstract. It’s about whether states that still believe in limited government, accountability, and common sense are willing to defend themselves — or quietly step aside while Washington continues to drift further from reality.

I’ve spent a lot of time looking at and talking about this issue, talking with people who understand the mechanics and the stakes, and preparing for my remarks at the Turning Point rally at the Statehouse. The more I dig in, the clearer it becomes: Indiana’s decision here will help determine whether Hoosiers have a meaningful voice in a Congress that is growing more extreme, not less.

Redistricting is lawful. It’s constitutional. And it’s not some radical invention of the moment. States have adjusted maps throughout history, and many have done so unapologetically when political control was on the line. The outrage we’re seeing now isn’t about process — it’s about power.

Redistricting is about whether Indiana chooses to defend itself or voluntarily surrender influence to Washington leftists.

Todd Huff

For too long, conservatives have been told that exercising political authority is somehow unseemly, while the Left treats power as something to be seized and used without hesitation. That imbalance has consequences. National consequences.

What’s at stake isn’t representation in name, but representation in practice. When Indiana sends members to Washington who align with national party leadership pushing policies Hoosiers reject, the results show up quickly — at the grocery store, at the gas pump, in local communities, and in the growing distance between citizens and the people making decisions on their behalf.

This isn’t about punishing anyone or “taking away” a vote. Every Hoosier remains represented. Elections still determine outcomes. But drawing districts that better reflect the reality of the state matters, especially as Washington becomes more centralized, more ideological, and more detached from everyday life.

The reason the pressure campaign is so intense right now is simple: the other side understands exactly what’s on the line. They’re showing up. They’re making noise. They’re trying to intimidate lawmakers into inaction.

Silence is not neutrality in moments like this.

I traveled to the Statehouse today to make the case that Indiana doesn’t need permission to defend its interests. I hope you’ll pay attention to how this unfolds, and more importantly, how your representatives respond.

Because moments like this don’t come around often — but when they do, they shape what comes next.

I know what matters to me.

And after today’s conversation, I hope you’re thinking seriously about what matters to you as well.

Conservative, not bitter.
Todd

Politics is not about ideological purity. It is about protecting your people when power is on the line.

Todd Talk: Weaponized Incompetence in Our Elections

My friends, have you ever heard the phrase weaponized incompetence? It usually describes someone in a relationship pretending they don’t know how to do a boring task so they won’t have to do it. But forget the household version for a moment — because this is exactly what your government does every single day, especially in blue states.

Case in point: a headline from Just the News says the DOJ is finally pushing more than half the states to clean up their voter rolls. Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon says the sloppiness in many blue states is no accident. It’s intentional — a feature, not a bug. Bloated rolls, disengaged voters, easy ballot harvesting … all under the guise of “we just can’t manage it.”

My friends, this is yet another reason the Left fears Donald Trump.

Hissed At, Fired Up, and More Determined Than Ever

You hear my political viewpoints every day — on the Toddcast, in this newsletter, on the website, and across social media.

Every now and then I jump on another podcast, radio show, or TV segment. And yes, sometimes I even give a good old-fashioned speech.

That’s exactly what I planned to do today at Turning Point Action’s All In For Indiana Rally at the Statehouse.

Planned.

But when I arrived and watched how things were unfolding, it became pretty clear I needed to toss that plan straight out the window. Why? Because we had some hecklers in the crowd — the disruptive kind.

Now let me be clear: I loved it. Absolutely loved it.

This wasn’t the place for a buttoned-up, neatly outlined speech. It was a place for a rallying cry — a call for real redistricting reform and a spotlight on the lunacy coming from some of the Radical Left’s most … let’s call it enthusiastic members.

They were loud. They were boisterous. They just weren’t many.

I was called a fascist, a cheater, a Nazi — literally dozens of times. And you know what? It only energized me. When you know what you believe, and why you believe it, the shouting of superficial lunatics doesn’t shake you one bit. Maybe I even tapped into my inner Donald Trump — who knows.

And for the record, I used to say I’d never been hissed at. Not anymore. One protester stood over me hissing — possibly attempting to cast a spell. Hard to tell. But I do know this: Jesus is stronger than anything that lunatic was peddling.

So stand firm, my friends.

We have to win this fight.

And we will — if we refuse to back down.

Time Is Running Out To Influence the Redistricting Fight

Next week may be the last chance we get to move the needle on redistricting.

When the Left wants something, they swarm. They pressure. They show up. And like it or not … it works.

Now it’s our turn.

If you believe in honest representation and reasonable maps, today is the day to speak up. Even if you missed today’s event, you can still make a major difference by contacting the senators most likely to be persuaded.

These are the fence sitters — the ones who need to hear from real Hoosiers as soon as possible.

Sen. Dan Dernulc – 317-232-9414 – [email protected]
Sen. Rick Niemeyer – 317-232-9489 – [email protected]
Sen. Ryan Mishler – 317-232-9814 – [email protected]
Sen. Brian Buchanan – 317-234-9441 – [email protected]
Sen. Blake Doriot – 317-232-9808 – [email protected]
Sen. Brett Clark – 317-232-9490 – [email protected]
Sen. Greg Goode – 317-233-0930 – [email protected]
Sen. Linda Rogers – 317-234-9443 – [email protected]

One quick call. One short email. One polite reminder that Hoosiers expect them to support these new maps and stand with President Trump’s America First agenda.

This is how we win — by showing up and speaking up while we still can.

Here’s the Speech I Was Ready to Give

This week, this rotunda has been filled with a lot of noise. Angry protests, emotional outbursts, superficial chanting, and, candidly, a whole lot of blind rage directed at you, at me, at Trump of course, and at anyone who doesn’t fit the approved narrative of the Radical Left.

But I’m not here to lead a chant. I’m here to appeal to your logic, your reason, and your commitment to preserving this Republic through what I call this cold civil war we are enduring.

Let’s be blunt.

When Hoosiers send someone to Washington, we expect them to represent common sense, personal liberty, fiscal responsibility, and the belief that America is fundamentally good. But far too often, when a Democrat is elected and sent to Washington, they vote for leadership and an agenda radically out of step with the people of Indiana — including many Democrats.

Look at inflation. Inflation isn’t caused by corporate greed or unions. Inflation happens when the federal government — and only the federal government — creates more money than the value of goods and services in the marketplace. When they do, every dollar we earn is worth less. Our savings, our paychecks, our retirement, our grocery budgets — all worth less.

Why do they keep doing it? Because the Radical Left believes government is the solution to every single problem, and that belief produces the reckless spending that fuels inflation.

These are the same folks who have given us open borders, which bring deadly drugs and dangerous criminal illegal aliens into our communities. They’ve brought men into women’s sports. They’ve pushed a culture that can’t define basic biology. Their policies weaken families, burden Hoosiers, and erode the liberty government is supposed to protect.

These folks cannot be stopped unless we send people to Washington with both a brain and a backbone.

I was raised in a Hoosier Union Democrat family. These old-school Democrats loved their country, valued hard work, and respected faith, family, and capitalism. But those values are nowhere in today’s Democrat Party. Today’s leadership is controlled by extremists who want to remake America into something it was never intended to be. And they will do whatever it takes, as long as it takes them, so long as it takes Donald Trump out of the White House or stops him from carrying out the agenda he was elected to accomplish.

These are the people who want higher taxes, more bureaucracy, and more government control over every aspect of our lives. They love government. They worship government. They hate liberty.

And that brings us to redistricting.

Redistricting is, and always has been, a political process. The Constitution gives that authority to the states — specifically the state legislatures. Districts must be contiguous and have roughly equal populations. Beyond that, districts are up to the discretion of each legislature.

There is no sacred, God-ordained shape of a congressional district. There is no rule that says Indianapolis gets special protection. Strip away party labels, and there is no moral argument that one map is holy and another is evil. The real question is simple: Which map best serves Hoosiers and protects the sovereignty and liberty of our state?

We must also address something the activists chanting in this rotunda will never mention. The Biden administration chose to count illegal aliens in the 2020 Census, and those numbers were used to allocate representation. This decision allows states with large illegal-alien populations to gain more political power, while states like Indiana can see their representation diluted, simply because we are not a haven for illegal aliens.

This is not what the Framers intended. The census was designed to reflect the residents of a state — not whoever happens to be within its borders on counting day.

This matters, and it should absolutely impact how we think about redistricting. If blue states gain districts by counting illegal aliens, should Indiana not consider how that dilutes her voice in our nation’s capital?

My friends, the era of Republicans fighting with one hand tied behind our backs while Democrats fight with both fists is over — and it has to be.

We must use every legal and ethical tool available to protect Hoosiers from the Radical Left’s destructive agenda.

And make no mistake: if we do not redistrict — if you, our state senators, do not vote for redistricting — you are empowering the Left to potentially win the U.S. House in 2026 and unleash the havoc and mayhem I’ve described today.

If our Senate fails to act, we will hold them accountable.

This moment matters. This is about Indiana’s future. This is about America’s future. Today must be a line in the sand. Hoosiers will not accept weakness. We will not reward silence. And we will not tolerate surrender. We expect our leaders to act boldly, decisively, and without apology in defense of Hoosier values and the liberty that makes this nation great.

Indiana state senators: vote to approve this new congressional map!
