My friend,
Today, I dive into the growing fallout from the No Kings protests—how they’re alienating moderates, energizing only the extreme Radical Left, and leaving Democratic strategists worried about the optics.
When a protest turns into a performance, it stops persuading and starts dividing.
Meanwhile, the government shutdown grinds on into day 21. I explain what’s really behind the Senate stalemate, the GOP’s redistricting strategy, and how both sides are playing the long game before midterms.
And believe it or not, the Ninth Circuit just handed Trump a surprising procedural win—lifting an injunction that could let him federalize the National Guard in Portland.

Quote of the Day
When a nation forgets humility, it starts calling unjustified rebellion courageous.
Todd Talk: Karine Jean-Pierre’s Denial of Biden’s Decline
My friends, Karine Jean-Pierre has again doubled down on her claim that she never saw any sign of President Biden’s mental decline. Think about that. She was one of the people closest to him — beside him almost every day — yet she insists she didn’t notice what millions of Americans could plainly see from their living rooms.
We watched the confusion, the blank stares, the lost train of thought — and we knew something wasn’t right. We knew a lot wasn’t right. But the press secretary, whose job was to brief the nation, says she never saw it?
There are only two possibilities: either she’s lying, or she’s so blinded by partisanship she can’t admit the truth. Now that the Left has moved on from Biden, denial is all his inner circle has left.
Down, But Not Out
If you tuned in to yesterday’s Toddcast, you may have noticed I wasn’t exactly firing on all cylinders. That’s because I was battling one of the most extreme migraine headaches I’ve ever had.
Once the show wrapped, I did the only thing that’s ever really worked for me — went straight to bed. Unfortunately, that meant I was completely out of commission the rest of the day. (My family can confirm.)
That’s also why yesterday’s Inner Circle email hit your inbox later than usual. I don’t like being off schedule, and I appreciate your patience more than you know.
And truth be told, if it weren’t for my new team of assistants stepping in to pull things together, that email might not have gone out at all. I’m beyond thankful for them — and for you.
Thanks for sticking with me, friends. Back to full strength soon… and I’ve got plenty more from The Stack coming your way.

You Can’t Make This Stuff Up
Every now and then, I get a voicemail or message from someone that makes me scratch my head — and sometimes laugh out loud.
This week, I received two voicemails from the same gentleman. Apparently, he wasn’t satisfied with his first “take,” so he gave it another go. (Hey, we’ve all been there.)
Now, I wish I could tell you which message came first, but it wasn’t clear from the way my system logged them. Maybe you can figure it out better than I could.
Take a listen for yourself:
“Yeah, I got this bridge here and I’ll sell it to you only, Todd, cheap. It’s going to be—you’ll have to send me some cash real quick though, and then we’ll discuss the amount further. But I’ll sell it to you, the whole thing. It’s a good bridge...”
And then… a follow-up:
“I got a bridge down across the Ohio River that’s—I’m gonna sell you … It’s for sale cheap. I’ll sell it to you only...”
Or vice versa. Who knows? And does it really matter?
Now, friends — I have no ill will toward this man at all. Honestly, maybe I should thank him for humoring me — and possibly you! He certainly gave us something to talk about.
So what do you think? Should I call him back? Leave it be? Think we could actually get anywhere in that conversation?
