My friends, on Wednesday evening, President Trump delivered what can be described as a “State of the Union before the State of the Union.” Standing in the White House, flanked by Christmas trees and a portrait of George Washington, he laid out where this country was just eleven months ago — and how far we’ve already come.

It’s easy to forget how bad things were. Inflation at historic highs. An open southern border that allowed millions to pour into the country unchecked. Crime surging. Energy costs exploding. A federal government more interested in appeasing activists and foreign interests than protecting American citizens. Trump didn’t just revisit those realities — he contrasted them with measurable progress.

In less than a year, inflation has cooled significantly. The border is secure in ways Washington once claimed were “impossible.” Criminal cartels have been hammered. Energy confidence is returning. And perhaps most importantly, the federal government is no longer at war with law-abiding Americans who want to work, build, invest, and raise families without being suffocated by bureaucracy.

It’s easy to forget how bad things were eleven months ago — which is exactly why this reminder matters.

Trump’s message wasn’t just about what has been fixed — it was also about what’s coming. 2026 is a midterm year, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. The left is already trying to rewrite history, pretending affordability problems began under Trump rather than Biden. That’s why directly communicating with the American people matters. Reminding people where we were — and how fast things changed — is critically important.

This is more than politics. It’s about restoring constitutional order, enforcing the rule of law, and re-anchoring this country to the principles that made it exceptional in the first place. The road to 2026 is already being paved, and clarity now will matter when the noise ramps up later.

Conservative, not bitter.

Todd Talk: Law and Order Returns as No One Stands Above the Law

My friends, slowly but surely, America is becoming a nation of law and order again.

For some time now, the Radical Left has bent over backwards to block enforcement of immigration law, abandoning common sense and decency in the process. One recent example is Judge Hannah Dugan, who obstructed federal immigration agents inside her own courthouse. I remember talking about this on the Toddcast when it happened.

Some find it shocking that a judge would interfere with the law, but that thinking, unfortunately, is outdated. Just yesterday, she was found guilty of felony obstruction.

That’s how this is supposed to work. You don’t get to decide which laws apply to you — not activists, not bureaucrats, and not judges. A free society only survives when the law is enforced consistently, fairly, and without political favoritism.
