My friends, as we close the door on one year and step into another, I want to be clear about something: hope is not passive. Hope is not wishful thinking. Hope is tied directly to responsibility, action, and engagement.
In today’s Toddcast, I laid out why I’m hopeful for America—and for conservatives—in 2026. Not because the fight is easy. Not because the threats to liberty have disappeared. But because the conditions exist for renewal if we are willing to step up and do our part.
Hope is inseparable from responsibility. If we want liberty tomorrow, we have to fight for it today
A growing economy, a renewed respect for the rule of law, and a cultural appetite for truth are not accidents. They are the result of choices—by leaders, yes, but also by citizens who refuse to disengage. Liberty survives only when free people are willing to defend it, speak for it, and sometimes sacrifice for it.
One of my deepest hopes for 2026 is that more Americans stop outsourcing responsibility. Government is not our god. Truth is not subjective. And freedom does not maintain itself. When we abandon those realities, we invite chaos. When we embrace them, we build something worth passing on.
The Founders understood this. They pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor because they knew the cost of doing nothing was far greater than the cost of standing firm. That same choice faces us today—less dramatically, perhaps, but no less consequential.
If you’ve been looking for a reason to stay engaged, to keep speaking, to keep voting, to keep showing up—this is it. America’s future is still worth fighting for. And conservatives still have an essential role to play in shaping what comes next.
Conservative, not bitter.

Todd Talk: Why I’m Hopeful for America—and Conservatives—in 2026
My friends, in spite of the absolute turmoil unleashed on America during the Biden years, I remain hopeful for 2026.
I know politics will remain tight. Contentious. Loud. That’s the season we’re in. But I’m hopeful we continue seeing victories as Americans. I’m hopeful Trump’s strong leadership continues pushing the economy in the right direction. I’m hopeful conservatives finally find the courage to challenge weak, establishment Republicans at every level of politics.
I’m hopeful this chaos keeps pushing people toward truth. Toward the understanding that America is fundamentally good. That lies collapse under their own weight. That this cold civil war is spiritual at its core — and that Jesus still holds the answers.
This fight will never end this side of Heaven, my friends. And candidly, I welcome it. Here’s to fighting for truth in 2026.
Here’s What I Hope Happens in 2026 (and Beyond)
A stronger economy that rewards work, grows businesses, and gives families breathing room
Law and order restored, borders enforced, and a country that respects its own rules
Conservatives win elections and start fearing voters more than the media, Democrats, and donor/ruling class
More Americans choose truth over nonsense and liberty over lies
Everyday conservatives engage, persuade at least one more person to vote and engage, and refuse to stay silent
A renewed love for America’s founding principles and the courage to defend them
And above all, a genuine revival—hearts changed, faith lived out, and Jesus at the center
These aren’t predictions. They’re my hope—and they require action.
And that action starts with us.
Happy New Year!
As we turn the page and step into 2026, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for listening. Thank you for reading this newsletter. Thank you for caring enough about this country to stay engaged when it would be easier not to.
Quick programming note: there will be no Toddcast or Inner Circle newsletter tomorrow or Friday. We’re taking a brief pause to reset, refocus, and get ready for what’s ahead.
We’ll be back Monday, full speed ahead into 2026—clear-eyed, energized, and ready to keep telling the truth, making the case, and pushing back where it matters.
Enjoy the New Year. Rest up.
We’ve got work to do.
